HOME / Economic Empowerment and Social Development
We engage young people through skills training, apprenticeships, mentorship, and entrepreneurship support to enhance their employment prospects and contribute to local economic development.
We support vulnerable families through cash assistance, social safety nets, and community-based support mechanisms to reduce poverty, improve food security, and protect against economic shocks.
We strengthen community structures and promote inclusive community development initiatives that foster social cohesion, conflict resolution, and participatory local governance
Economic empowerment and social development are essential for building resilient communities, reducing poverty, and promoting inclusive and sustainable development in Afghanistan. Our programs focus on strengthening livelihoods, enhancing income-generating opportunities, and improving social well-being, with a particular emphasis on women, youth, and vulnerable populations.
We support vulnerable households, women, and youth to establish and strengthen sustainable livelihoods through cash-for-work, small grants, and income-generating activities. Our programs promote diversified and climate-resilient livelihood options to enhance household economic security.
We implement Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs to equip women and youth with market-relevant skills, including tailoring, handicrafts, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and digital skills. These initiatives are designed to improve employability and self-employment opportunities.
